Fallout 4 was announced last week, along with a trailer for the game. You may not know this about me, but I’m pretty perceptive. I can pick out details that nobody else can find. So I figured I can give you, dear reader, a glimpse into my genius by breaking down this Fallout trailer and revealing all the tasty clues Bethesda put into this game.

The trailer starts with an image familiar to Fallout fans: a TV with a test pattern display. But some people may have missed a key detail in this shot: that home isn’t very clean. This suggest that Fallout 4 won’t take place during the French Revolution as some were predicting.

Next there is a dog in a doorway. The dog clearly has a surprised look on his face. Based on this, I believe that the dog owns the home and just came back from vacation. His children threw a raging party, and against his orders too! This will relate to the main plot somehow.

Now, some people have thought that this is a street, but they are ignorant of the facts. This is clearly a stage (look at the light!) and the guy with the hat an actor. This is probably a stage production of Cats the characters produce.

This is a shot of a new vault, vault 111. Simple enough, but there’s actually a code hidden in the image. Vault 111, 1+1+1=3. How many spokes are on that door? 9. 3+9=12. Divide that by the last fallout game Bethesda made, 12/3=4. Double that number, now it’s 8. Divide that number by the Walhberg factor, which is the number of Walhberg siblings you can name. Mine’s two, (Mark and Donnie). 8/2=4. This game is Fallout 4.

Have you seen the movie Stardust? This is captain Bobby de Niro’s flying boat. He must have hit a time portal and crossed into the Fallout universe. So cool!!

Another boat. This suggests that Fallout 4 will take place near water.

Alright, the next shot is of the Massachusetts State House. While being further evidence of Fallout 4 taking place in Boston, it’s also a clue as to who the main protagonist is. Follow me for a second. The last movie the State House was seen in was Martin Scorsese’s The Departed. Lots of people died in that movie, so much so that it was like an APOCALYPSE for the characters. In Fallout, you play as a survivor of an APOCALYPSE. Guess who survived The Departed? Mark Walhberg (pictured below). Bam! How obvious can it get???

Don’t pay attention to this. Classic red herring.

And finally, a shot of the hero standing there, looking beautiful and majestic while standing next to that dumb human.
