On July 1st, 2025, Kesha kicked off her “Tits Out Tour” here in Salt Lake City at the Utah First Amphitheatre, supported by Slayyyter and the Scissor Sisters. Utah, no doubt, showed up for Kesha. Girls in Y2k-esque outfits, plastered in cheetah, sequins, and fingerless gloves walked through the parking lot, excitedly discussing the show they were about to see. It’s for good reason — Kesha’s music and personality has arguably been a staple in the lives of a good majority of millennials and Gen Z. There was no lack of excitement nor appreciation for her.
Devoted fans spent all day in line in order to stand at the barricade for the show, clamoring as they waited for Kesha to come on stage. With the show being the first of the tour, they speculated about what would open the show. The lights went down and the crowd absolutely roared for her. She rose onto the stage with a dummy of her own head in her hand, walking slowly into the light, as her hit “Tik Tok” played. The fans were clearly pleased — every single person, including those in the photo pit and working security, sang every word. Dancers came out during her second song, “Only Love Can Save Us Now”, absolutely stunning everyone in the crowd and upping the production level of her set.
This tour is truly a testament to the lasting legacy of Kesha, as well as her continued stardom. A sold-out first night was all she needed to prove her staying power, but we were blown out of the water by her raw talent, showmanship, and personality. She came out for “Blow” in a brand new outfit, guitar in hand, and played the track masterfully. Towards the end of her set, she mashed up “Timber” (another iconic song) with Devo’s iconic “Whip It”, and slid into an older track, “Dinosaur”. Her setlist was a perfect mix of the older songs that made her famous and the songs that reclaimed her career as her own. The show was truly a triumph in womanhood and a powerful testament to recovery.
Her encore catered to everybody, as she returned with “Praying”, “Your Love is My Drug”, and “We R Who We R”. Every single person in the amphitheater sang their heart out and could be heard from the parking lot (and probably the neighborhoods surrounding it). It was the perfect ending to a night of five-star production and talent, and a reminder of Kesha’s impact on music and the lives of those who listen to her.
