Geek Wish-List: Summer Anime Season
July 18, 2016
Welcome back everyone! this week I wanted to give my top three recommendations for the new wave of anime coming out. There are tons of anime coming out every season, but the ones that I’ve seen this season that are catching my attention are actually the continuations. The second season for quite a few anime that did well in the past are finally coming out this season. I also noticed a lot of anime porn being released, yes that’s right I said anime porn, if you don’t believe me have a look here www.tubev.sex/categories/1829/cartoon.
The anime that I want to cover in this weeks rant include the second season of Shokugeki no Soma, D-Grey Man Hallow, and the newcomer Amaama to Inazuma. The reason for my recommendations are that these anime are both very well done and are very entertaining no matter what kind of anime you favor. As a footnote I recommend watching the first seasons of the second season anime before getting into the first two listed naturally.

First up is the food war anime Shokugeki no Soma. When the first season of this anime was released it became extremely popular. Not only for its quality use of etchi scenes, by quality I mean that they don’t interrupt or take away from the anime for no reason. As well as its ability to make you extremely hungry and want to start cooking right after an episode. The character development is masterfully done and the overarching plot is quite riveting. However, the part that makes this anime in my opinion, is how seriously the anime takes its cooking matches. This anime shines in its ability to get you super hyped for every Shokugeki that graces the screen. The way that the chefs become warriors and how the show makes eating the food so dramatic is so unique and entertaining. I would highly recommend this anime to fans of any genre looking for an anime to add to the list.

My second recommendation is the continuation of the D-Grey Man series D-Grey Man Hallow. This season picks up a couple of months after the ending of the first. In my personal opinion this anime is a must watch if you enjoyed the quality of drama and action that the first season had. It’s my prediction that this season will be answering many of the questions that fans were left with when the first season ended. I’m going to make this review slightly shorter than the last because although this anime doesn’t showcase any huge following like Shokugeki no Soma, what it does showcase is a very well crafted sequel to the first season. If you enjoyed the first season then this anime should already be in your line up of anime to watch this summer, period.

At last we get to the newly released anime that I’ll be watching this summer. If you’re looking for a new show to base your next Dakimakura Pillow on, this may be your best bet.Amaama to Inazuma is the story of a school teacher raising his daughter when he meets up with a student of his named Kotori that helps feed them due to his lack of cooking skills. Although the initial prediction of a school teacher getting into a romantic relationship with his student may seem odd I think that this anime will be a well needed change of pace among the recently popular anime. During my time watching anime I rarely watch shows that fall into the slice of life genre, mostly it’s because I don’t like the lack of action that keeps me entertained with anime. Yet, occasionally the rare anime will come out that just captures my attention. My first glance opinion about this anime is that it will provide a unique perspective for fans that are usually given a clear cut, almost cookie cutter, romance that could be predicted by any level of anime fan. I feel that this anime will instead include not so much as a romance between teacher and student, but rather show a fathers love for his daughter from Kotori’s point of view. With Kotori’s parents being absent in this anime I figure that she will fall in love not so much with the father as she will fall for the quality of parental affection that he gives his daughter. Affection that she is lacking in her life due to unfortunate circumstance. I would say that this anime has the potential to become a real heart warming, yet funny anime that fans will highly enjoy.
Well I know that this post was ridiculously long this time around, but I felt that I really needed to give a quality review for my top three picks for this season of anime. I really hope that I’ve peaked your interest in at least one of these anime. With that Geek-Out and I’ll hope to see you all next week!
